Snow Begins in a Few Hours
The light snow from this morning and early afternoon has diminished and now we are waiting for the light snow to move in from northern Illinois by 10pm. After midnight, the heavier snow develops and there will be 2-4" on the ground for the morning commute. It snows all day on Tuesday and into Tuesday night with totals up to 10 to 14" of snow along the lakefront. The snow becomes light overnight, but the winds gust to 35mph out of the NE and there will be significant blowing and drifting into Wednesday afternoon, especially in the rural areas.
