Lake Effect Snow!
Two low pressure systems will merge together late tomorrow east of Milwaukee, but the strong NE winds that the system will generate, will create a heavy lake effect snow event for SE Wisconsin starting tonight and until late Tuesday night before the winds shift to the northwest and shut off the lake effect machine.
The weaker of the two systems is bringing Milwaukee light snow and flurries today with less than an inch of accumulation, so the snow has actually begun, but as the stronger system moves in the Midwest this evening, that is when the east winds increase and the heavy snow begins. A Winter Storm Warning goes into effect at midnight tonight until 6am Wednesday for all of SE Wisconsin
