Storm Team 4 takes you beyond the forecast.

The Potential Snowstorm Latest...

Feb. 7, 2010 |

Lake effect cloudiness with less wind is the Southeast Wisconsin and Milwaukee forecast for today.  Expect some breaks in the lake effect cloudiness similar to yesterday with a few stray flurries or a snow shower.  Highs will be close to thirty degrees, though it will feel warmer than yesterday thanks to much lighter winds.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy and quiet with lows in the lower-twenties.

Most of Monday looks to be dry, though there is a slight chance of a little light afternoon snow.  You’ll feel the winds picking up though as the next storm gets closer.  Readings near thirty for Southeast Wisconsin and Milwaukee temperatures during the afternoon.

As the hours tick by on Monday night we will see the snow become more widespread, especially late at night.  The way it looks now, we may see an inch by morning.

Before we talk about Tuesday and Tuesday night, it’s very important to talk about this early forecast.  This is a very different storm compared to the rest that move through.  This storm is coming out of Canada.  Since this is the case, the computer models are showing very, very different setups of who sees the heaviest of the storm.  The tracks are varying by hundreds of miles.  Since this is the case, it’s just too early to give a good, accurate forecast of the storm.  That’s why the National Weather Service hasn’t issued a watch, advisory, or warning yet.  Still expect several inches of snow with wind during the day on Tuesday, and more snow on Tuesday night.  We’ll keep you updated when we get a better handle on what will happen.  Stay tuned.

Summary, the main snow will fall on Tuesday morning right through Tuesday evening, then gradually taper off late on Tuesday night.
